Avian Influenza
1. Germany reported 52 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds
On June 29 and July 2, Germany reported 52 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in North Rhine-Westphalia and 3 other locations, resulting in 64 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, and 32 culled.
2. United Kingdom reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds
On June 29, the United Kingdom reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in England, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.
3. Belgium reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds
On June 29, Belgium reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Wallonia, resulting in 5 wild birds infected and died.
4. Portugal reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds
On June 29, Portugal reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Lisbon and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.
5. Denmark reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds
On July 2, Denmark reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Slagelse Municipality and one other location, resulting in 3 wild birds infected and died.
6. United States reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry
On July 3, the United States reported 2 outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Idaho and 3 other locations, resulting in 2 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, 24 culled, and 20,000 commercial poultry culled.
7. Colombia reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds
On July 2, Colombia reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Vichada Department, resulting in 95 wild birds and backyard poultry infected, 85 deaths, and 10 culled.
8. Chile reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds
On July 2, Chile reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Maule Region, resulting in 164 wild birds and backyard poultry culled.
9. South Africa reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 1 in poultry
On July 1 and 2, South Africa reported 2 outbreaks in wild birds and 1 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Western Cape Province and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds and 29 poultry infected and died.
10. Australia reported 3 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds
On June 29 and July 3, Australia reported 3 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in South Australia, resulting in 4 wild birds infected and died.
Other Animal Diseases
1. Spain reported 5 Newcastle disease outbreaks
On July 3, Spain reported 5 outbreaks of Newcastle disease in Castile and León, resulting in 7,524 poultry infected and died, and 350,000 culled.
2. Moldova reported 1 rabies outbreak
On June 29, Moldova reported 1 outbreak of rabies in ?old?ne?ti District, resulting in 1 domestic dog infected and died.
3. Romania reported 4 rabies outbreaks
On July 3, Romania reported 4 outbreaks of rabies in Neam? County and 2 other locations, resulting in 3 cattle and 1 wild red fox infected and died.
4. Greece reported 1 serotype 8 bluetongue outbreak
On June 29, Greece reported 1 outbreak of serotype 8 bluetongue in Ioannina Province, resulting in 1 wild chamois infected and died.
5. United Kingdom reported 1 serotype 3 bluetongue outbreak
On July 2, the United Kingdom reported 1 outbreak of serotype 3 bluetongue in England, resulting in 1 cattle infected.
6. Libya reported 1 peste des petits ruminants outbreak
On June 30, Libya reported 1 outbreak of peste des petits ruminants in Zawiya Province, resulting in 170 goats infected and 120 deaths.
7. Romania reported 1 sheep pox outbreak
On June 29, Romania reported 1 outbreak of sheep pox in Buz?u County, resulting in 55 sheep and goats infected and 50 deaths.
8. Greece reported 11 sheep pox outbreaks
On July 2, Greece reported 11 outbreaks of sheep pox in Arcadia Province and one other location, resulting in 77 sheep and goats infected and 8 deaths.
9. Norway reported 1 rabbit hemorrhagic disease outbreak
On July 1, Norway reported 1 outbreak of rabbit hemorrhagic disease in Rogaland County, resulting in 2 domestic rabbits infected and died.
10. Honduras reported 10 small hive beetle infestations
On June 29, Honduras reported 10 small hive beetle infestations in Lempira Department, resulting in 22 hives destroyed.
11. United States reported 8 New World screwworm outbreaks
On July 3, the United States reported 8 outbreaks of New World screwworm in Texas, resulting in 3 cattle, 7 sheep and 1 domestic dog infected.
12. Mexico reported 3 New World screwworm outbreaks
On July 3, Mexico reported 3 outbreaks of New World screwworm in Durango State, resulting in 3 cattle infected.
13. Libya reported 2 serotype O FMD outbreaks
On June 29, Libya reported 2 outbreaks of serotype O foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in Misrata Province and one other location, resulting in 12 cattle infected and 3 deaths.
14. Botswana reported 2 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On June 30, Botswana reported 2 outbreaks of SAT1 FMD in the Southern District, resulting in 24 cattle infected.
15. South Africa reported 48 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On July 2, South Africa reported 48 outbreaks of SAT1 FMD in North West Province and 4 other locations, resulting in 916 cattle infected and 471 deaths.
16. Israel reported 6 SAT1 FMD outbreaks
On July 3, Israel reported 6 outbreaks of SAT1 FMD in the Northern District and one other location, resulting in 87,000 cattle and sheep infected and 30 deaths.
17. Vietnam reported 3 serotype A FMD outbreaks
On July 3, Vietnam reported 3 outbreaks of serotype A FMD in B?c K?n Province and 2 other locations, resulting in 50 cattle, buffalo, goats, sheep and domestic pigs infected, and 1 domestic pig died and was disposed of.

1. Hungary reported 8 ASF outbreaks in wild boar
On June 29, Hungary reported 8 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boar in Nógrád County and 2 other locations, resulting in 8 wild boar infected and died.
2. Italy reported 65 ASF outbreaks in wild boar
On June 29, Italy reported 65 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Emilia-Romagna and 2 other regions, resulting in 65 wild boar infected and died.
3. Serbia reported 28 ASF outbreaks in domestic pigs
On July 1 and 3, Serbia reported 28 outbreaks of ASF in domestic pigs in Ma?va District and 2 other locations, resulting in 51 domestic pigs infected, 32 deaths, and 397 culled.
4. Latvia reported 10 ASF outbreaks in wild boar
On July 1, Latvia reported 10 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Tukums Municipality and 4 other locations, resulting in 10 wild boar infected and died.
5. Moldova reported 2 ASF outbreaks in wild boar and 1 in domestic pigs
On July 1, Moldova reported 2 outbreaks in wild boar and 1 in domestic pigs of ASF in Edine? District and 2 other locations, resulting in 2 wild boar and 3 domestic pigs infected and died.
6. Bosnia and Herzegovina reported 1 ASF outbreak in domestic pigs
On July 1, Bosnia and Herzegovina reported 1 outbreak of ASF in domestic pigs in Republika Srpska, resulting in 7 domestic pigs infected and died, and 18 culled.
7. Estonia reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar
On July 2, Estonia reported 1 outbreak of ASF in wild boar in West-Viru County, resulting in 2 wild boar infected and died.
8. Spain reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar
On July 2, Spain reported 1 outbreak of ASF in wild boar in Catalonia, resulting in 3 wild boar infected and died.
9. Romania reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar and 8 in domestic pigs
On July 3, Romania reported 1 outbreak in wild boar and 8 in domestic pigs of ASF in Mure? County and 3 other locations, resulting in 1 wild boar infected and died, and among domestic pigs, 39 infected, 5 deaths, and 34 culled.
10. South Africa reported 2 ASF outbreaks in domestic pigs
On July 1, South Africa reported 2 outbreaks of ASF in domestic pigs in Gauteng Province, resulting in 399 domestic pigs infected and 397 deaths.
